Stanley Cup Game 6

Stanley Cup Finals Game Six
Detroit Red Wings at Pittsburgh Penguins (Red Wings lead 3-2)
Tuesday, 8:05 pm Eastern – NBC

SBG Global Opening Line: Penguins - 150 , Total 5.5 Flat

The Detroit Red Wings will try and clinch the Stanley Cup for the second straight season in the same place they won the last one. The Red Wings won Game 6 last year against the Penguins and skated around Mellon Arena with the Stanley Cup. The Penguins don’t want that to happen again on Tuesday night. "We don't want that image in our heads again," Penguins forward Max Talbot said.

SBG Global reports that early Hockey betting has the public taking Penguins at Home.

The Red Wings know they need to take advantage on Tuesday and avoid a Game 7 back in Detroit. "It's obviously a special night when you know you have a chance to win the Cup in one single hockey game," goalie Chris Osgood said. The Red Wings look poised to win their second consecutive Stanley Cup after a dominating 5-0 win in Game 5 on Saturday.

Pittsburgh does not believe the series is over though. "You don't think about Game 7," Pittsburgh’s Ruslan Fedotenko said. "You focus on one game, one shift, and focus like it's your last shift and you do it again on the next shift. You play like that, you take care of business; you put yourselves in a good position to win that game."

The Penguins need their superstars, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin to play like they did in Games 3 and 4 and not like they did in Game 5. "I think we're going to bounce back," Crosby said. "We have all year. We weren't happy with that effort, but we've moved on. I think we realize that, when we were in 10th place in the middle of the season, if they had told us that we had to win a game to force Game 7, we would have taken it."

Here are the Hockey betting stats for Tuesday’s game. The Red Wings are 15-5 in their last 20 Stanley Cup Finals games. The Red Wings are 1-4 in their last 5 playoff games as an underdog.

The Penguins are 21-5 in their last 26 playoff games as a favorite. The home team is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings between the two teams.

SBG Global Current Line: Penguins - 120 , Total 5.5 Over - 115

The Over is 4-0 in the Red Wings last 4 road games. The Under is 8-3-2 in the Red Wings last 13 Stanley Cup Finals games. The Over is 5-1 in the Penguins last 6 games as a home favorite. The Under is 9-4-2 in the last 15 meetings between the two teams.

NHL Western Conference Final

Preview Chicago Blackhawks at Detroit Red Wings (Detroit leads 1-0)

Tuesday, 7:35 pm Eastern – TSN, Versus

SBG Global Opening Line: Red Wings - 195 , Total 5.5 Over - 130

The Detroit Red Wings will try and take a 2-0 lead on Tuesday as they host the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. The two teams played a tight game on Sunday until Detroit scored three late goals to win 5-2. Dan Cleary had two goals to lead the Red Wings. His second came just over a minute after Mikael Samuelsson had given the Red Wings a 3-2 lead mid-way through the third period.

Chicago was not able to get their young stars much room on Sunday as Patrick Kane was held without a shot while Jonathan Toews had but three."We got a lesson," Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville said. "We've got to be better." Kane really didn’t have much room to do anything on Sunday."They kind of collapsed on me," Kane said. "So, I was trying to find the open guys a little more. I definitely have to try to find a way to get some shots." Chicago was able to come from behind in their last series against Vancouver but doing it against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Red Wings is another story. "It's a race to four wins, but it's good to get the first one," Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom said.
